Our Proud Moments
We’re really proud of what we do at BoxUp Crime. We think that making a difference to the lives of young people is something to shout about, so we’re naturally delighted that others share that view. We’ve been delighted to receive a number of awards as we feel that our success demonstrates the importance of what we do, as well as showing an appreciation of the plan behind it all. We continue to strive to ensure that we are delivering an exceptional service to the young people we work with so watch this space!

Mustard Seed Awards 2013 – Silver Award
We were delighted to win the Silver Award at the 2013 Mustard Seed awards, a competition run by the Christian Initiative Trust. The award recognised our commitment to helping young people turn their lives around, and the money we received paid for the cost of our mentors, equipment and publicity for a year.
Team London 2013 Awards
The Mayor’s volunteering programme for London recognised the amazing things BoxUp Crime had accomplished in a short space of time. In particular, The former Mayor of London, Boris Johnson’s team of judges praised the way we have brought together young people and volunteers of all ages, cultures, faiths and abilities to work together and fight rising crime rates by giving children and young people hope and a positive focus.
Teach First Innovation Awards 2014 – Runner-up
The Teach First Innovation Awards supports game-changing ideas that could help end educational inequality in the UK, so we were delighted to finish runners up from the 60 organisation’s that entered the awards in 2014.
LSBU ‘Make It Happen’ Business Awards 2014
Our founder, Stephen Addison, is a graduate of London South Bank University, so was understandably proud to return to his former university to wow the judges with the concept behind his social business model. Stephen maintains a great relationship with London Southbank University and is regularly invited to speak and take part in events.
